"New Friends" |

"Just Readin" is the first of many sculptures to come of my son Jake. Jake was about a year and a half when the pictures were taken of him for the sculpture. Because he is growing so fast, I have to keep an archive of pictures of him from all angles so that I have enough for the many sculptures I am planning. This sculpture shows Jake doing something that he loves to do:read. |

When Doyle's sculpture "Just Readin" is complete, he plans to start on a second sculpture of his son Jake. This year, Jake was a Cowboy for Halloween. That provided an opportunity for some great pictures and inspired Doyle to create his second children sculpture titled "Cowboy Jake". The sculpture will depict two year old Jake as you see him now: ready for Trick or Treat as a real cowboy! Please check back on a regular basis to view this sculpture as it is transformed from a lump of clay to a finished bronze. |
